Who we are

Stephnie Thomas is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who specializes in the treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders. While she ordinarily prefers to see clients in office, during the current COVID-19 crisis she is using telehealth only.

Stephnie is also a Board Approved Supervisor for Maryland LGPC’s who wish to utilize additional supervision.

Therapy Notes/ Therapy Portal

Is the platform used to enable clients to sign up for appointments, download documents, fill them out, and e-sign or physically return docouments to be processed. Some documents (e.g. Intake paperwork) may be available for download on stephthomas.com. Completed documents can be mailed in to the address listed on the top of the forms, or can be uploaded through TherapyPortal once you have signed up for an account on the portal

When you click through to TherapyNotes , TherapyPortal , Doxy.me or any other HIPAA compliant means of communication your information is protected according to HIPAA/HITECH regulations. The only exceptions to this are if you verbally or in writing consent to using a non-HIPAA compliant audiovisual means of communication.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.
